Vicoda – Bridge dampers successfully installed

Footbridges can begin to vibrate even when walked upon – this can reach levels which are unnerving for pedestri­ans and even danger­ous for the bridge it­self. The reason is that these constructions are often very slim and thus subject to vibrations. Through the use of dampers these vibrations can be eliminated, so that the bridges can be safely crossed. In a construction project in Münster, Germany, VICODA won the order for dampers against tough competition. VICODA vibration dampers have now been in­stalled and activated in the bridge over the river Aa. The cus­tomer was highly satis­fied with the processing of the project and the smooth func­tioning of our vibration dampers.
