Successful shock absorber inspection
Thursday, 13 October 2011

Every 18 months the Sizewell B nuclear power plant (Suffolk, UK) has to be shut down for its regular reactor refueling. On every operational shutdown of this kind LISEGA, at the request of the operator, conducts inspections of the safety-related shock absorbers. Some 10% of the shock absorbers installed are checked in this way, in accordance with the strict specifications of the British Nuclear Authority (NII). As with previous inspections the LISEGA shock absorbers also passed the test without any problems this time and so impressively confirmed their outstanding product quality and superior design.
