Rules of behavior for the LISEGA Group
Thursday, 17 November 2011

Prompted by numerous scandals over the past few years that have shaken the business world, especially those concerning major international enterprises, many companies have now formulated rules of compliance in order to define clear principles regarding the behavior of their personnel. “At LISEGA, rules of behavior have long since been determined in our company principles or management instruction. In the recent past, however, we have often been questioned by important customers on the subject of rules of compliance”, says Hans-Heiner Eddelbüttel (CFO), “So we have now elaborated rules of behavior on the basis of our company principles.” The rules of compliance were ratified by the Executive and Supervisory Boards of the LISEGA Group in September and discussed during the Executives’ Meeting. In October they were then presented to the heads of department in Zeven.
Besides observation of the regulations, respect towards every individual, consideration of the corresponding stipulations concerning environmental protection and work safety were discussed, especially the granting or acceptance of benefits, e.g. giving or taking gifts. In the latter cases one’s superior is to be involved in the decision at all events and the personnel department informed. Mr. Eddelbüttel often referred to the LISEGA company principles during the discussion. These continue, as a matter of course, to constitute the main guidelines and are merely supplemented by the rules of compliance.
