Support related design

Analysis of complex support arrangements Analysis of complex support arrangements

In the analysis and recognition of world market requirements, LISEGA has always placed special importance on support-related design. LISEGA has developed to become the unchallenged market leader today in the design and construction of pipe supports.

On the basis of well-founded expertise and the formation of highly qualified and experienced design groups in all our companies worldwide, LISEGA finds itself in the unique position of being able to develop ready-to-install load chains from standard supports, from structural attachment to pipe-surrounding component, in accordance with the technical guidelines and requirements of all the recognized standards.

In the field of support-related design, LISEGA offers the following range of services:

  • selection of load chain components on the basis of user information
  • provision of load chain-related parts lists with weight and material details
  • preparation of LICAD drawings for support points of complex pipe support systems
  • preparation of CAD support drawings in AUTOCAD, incl. steel
  • preparation of 3D models using corresponding programs e.g. PDS/MicroStation
  • (INTERGRAPH) or PDMS (Aveva)
  • on-site service at the plant
  • provision of collision observation on the basis of 3D models

The following data should ideally be supplied by the customer:

  • pipe diameter
  • loads
  • movements
  • temperatures
  • insulation thickness, if necessary
  • installation length and position, or corresponding piping and structurel plans
  • specifications

On the basis of these data, ready-to-install load chains are generated with the LISEGA design program LICAD from standard supports, from structural attachment right through to pipe-surrounding component. The designs so prepared are stored and printed out as scale drawings, including parts lists with load and material data. As an option, location plans and pricing details can be included with the LICAD drawings.
