Structural attachments, slide plates

Special components for welding or clamping are available for connecting the pipe supports to the supporting structure. In order to fulfil safety requirements the connections must be suitable.

Application

The pipe bearings used must allow thermal displacement of pipelines to prevent unacceptable stress that could damage the piping system. Slide plates are inserted between the clamp base and supporting framework for this purpose.

LISEGA Benefits

LISEGA slide plates are made of different low-friction materials for different temperature ranges. For use at a constant temperature of up to 180 °C (at the bottom of the clamp base), the standard PTFE slide plate is recommended. For temperatures above 180 °C up to a maximum of 350 °C, a special high-temperature material is used. The advantages of these low-friction materials are:

  • High mechanical wear resistance
  • Temperature resistance up to 350 °C
  • Suitable for use in aggressive environmental conditions due to their high chemical resistance
