The final assembly work is currently being carried out on a new pedestrian bridge in Hinterweidenthal, Germany. The bridge over federal highway 10 enables rapid access from Hinterweidenthal to the nearby rail station. Mürmann Thread Technology supplied the bracing components and hanger rods (system size M24) for the curved beams of the tied arch bridge. The equipment for the hydraulic pretensioning was supplied by Mürmann. The bridge is to be hoisted into position at the beginning of 2018. Before that the pretensioning of the crosslinking (system size M56) of the bridge supports, with the required pretensioning of 450 kN, will be completed.
